26 Weeks & Under 100

Wow, I can't believe we are less than 100 days to go. I remember very well seeing the 200+ days staring me in the face. We are at 26 weeks now and all is going well. It is getting a little less comfortable to sleep and I am feeling quite LARGE (still getting bigger of course as we have several weeks left to go.)

We are flying to Florida tomorrow for 5 days to celebrate Christmas and New Year's with the Rothrock clan. We're looking forward to seeing family, friends and enjoying some warm, sunny days! I'll post lots of pictures when I return and you'll all get your fill of preggo pics (several of you have been asking and I will deliver.)

I hope everyone had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and I wish you all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR! We're looking forward to a wonderful 2008!

We bought a house!

We closed on a house on Monday!!!! We are excited to get in it and start the updating process. The house was built in 1900 and is in Old Louisville! I'll get some pictures up very soon. It will be fun to see the before and after shots as the entire house will change in some form or fashion!

Great Smokey Mountains!

Due to bad weather last weekend we did not make it to NYC. That trip was postponed until Jan. We did however take a little trip to the Great Smokey Mountains! We rented a cabin named "Absolute Splendor" and had a great time! We did a lot of relaxing, some hiking, played a few games and did some sightseeing!
Click on the album below to see a few of the pictures that we took!

Week 25

It is week 25 and and our little boy measures about 13 1/2" and weighs about a pound and a half! I love feeling him move and am amazed every time! I could stare at my EVER growing belly and watch for hours!!

I had my first bout with cankles and it was not fun! Yikes, scary! I'm pretty sure it was because I sat for sooooooo long for a day and a half. It was painful but I am back to normal now!

I thought all of the information on cankles was amusing! Nice exhibit!

Week 24

Another week has passed, we are at week 24. Our baby is about 1 1/4 lbs. and is approximately a foot long! I read somewhere that my uterus is about the size of a soccer ball. Corey finally felt the little boy kicking last Sunday and he actually saw the kicking last night. We've tried several times to make this happen but as you other pregnant women and past pregnant women know every time you try to let someone feel these occurrences they somehow just stop! It was a great experience for Corey to finally feel and see the movement that I've been feeling for the past several weeks!

We are supposed to be flying to NYC tomorrow but I've been watching the weather and I'm not so sure we're going to make it...well it sounds like we could make it there but not certain if we'd make it home.

Happy Wednesday!

23 Weeks

We made it to 23 weeks of pregnancy. I can hardly believe it. Our baby is more than 11 inches long now and weighs just over a pound. Some days it feels like I've been pregnant for a long time already and others it feels like it only just began. We had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything is going well and is on schedule. I gained 6 pounds (yikes-too much dessert...just kidding, I'm right on.) My blood pressure was good and I am measuring as I should be.

Thanksgiving in MN

Corey, the dogs and I drove to MN for Thanksgiving. We had a great Thanksgiving with the family and really enjoyed our time there! I love being with family and with all of the little ones; they grow so fast. We finally got to meet our newest niece Riece (she's 6 weeks now and absolutely adorable.) We also met 3 new cousins for the first time (Blake-8 months, Lilly-4 months and Gavin-2 months). Ryah thinks I am the coolest person alive which is pretty awesome! She made sure I sat next to her at all times, I was the only one capable of helping her with anything and she was an awesome buddy when I walked the dogs. She kept saying "puppies go poopie". Corey flew back to Louisville on Sunday and I stayed for a week longer. I drove back with the dogs and left MN just in time to miss the big storm! After I left Canby, the dogs and I went to stay with Carrie, Paul, Gavin and Maven. While in MN my girlfriend Jen and her husband Chris had their baby girl "Maggie". I met her when she was just 5 days old. Congrats Burgers family! Click on the picture below to see all the photos.

Congrats also to Reise, Natalie and their new bundle of joy Jewel!

Good Friends!

Thanks for visiting Sandra, Gerard and Zach! We had a great time but ate WAY too much! We are looking forward to staying with you in NYC in a couple of weeks. Click on the picture below to see the whole album.

Where do I even begin?

It has been a very long time since I updated this blog. We've had guests in town, we went out of town and I just returned!

I guess I'll start with Week 21 and Week 22 updates (just in time for Week 23 in a couple of days.) Wow time flies when you are on the run! Baby Rothrock has been growing like crazy and I feel like I have been too! The little boy is moving around a lot now and I feel him daily! I love feeling him move. My next doctors appointment is tomorrow. I won't have an ultrasound but will hear the heartbeat again, get weighed and get measured!
