Our 3rd Anniversary!

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary! Marriage is bliss!!! Happy Anniversary Corey, I love being married to you and love sharing my life with you!!!

This post is a day late. Darn it, I meant to get this up yesterday! Corey turned 33! Happy Birthday Babe!!!! "It's like a pinata!"

First Two Weeks

Beckett has been in this world now for a little over two weeks and we couldn't be happier and more in love! Parenthood is amazing! It's hard to describe what it feels like and all the emotions that come with it. Many of you reading this are parents so you know exactly what I mean, we're just thankful that we are now having the opportunity to experience it for ourselves. What a blessing!!!!

Although it's only been two weeks, we've been busy! Since Beckett is/was a "premie" we had to take him to see the pediatrician on the Tuesday after he was born to check his body weight. He lost a little too much weight so we started bottle feeding breast milk every other feeding to make sure he was getting plenty to eat. After doing that for just two days we went back to the pediatrician and he had gained all the weight back that he lost. He also started pooping and peeing consistantly and he hasn't stopped since!

We've been for a few walks, had professional pictures taken, been out to eat a few times, been to Target and even to the mall a couple of times! We've also been to church twice and Beckett has sat peacefully in his car seat without making a peep each time. I'm not planning on giving you the play by play each week but I figured if I told you what we've been up to along with the obvious other things (feeding Beckett, changing diapers, cuddling, kissing Beckett, napping, laundry...the list goes on,) you'd all understand why I haven't been updating this as often and also why I haven't been able to send thank you's to all of you WONDERFUL people who have sent so many WONDERFUL things!!!!!!

Uncle Kevin went home on the Sunday that we got out of the hospital and my mom came for a quick visit that Tuesday and left on Thursday. It was a quick visit (she'll be back in April for a week) but she couldn't resist seeing him before he was a month old! We have more visitors scheduled for this coming weekend and the following week! Grandma Cheryl is going to be here with Aunt Linda for a few days. Aunt Trudy and cousins Kate and Ticen will also be here next week! We are looking forward to our visitors and can't wait for you all to meet Beckett!

This morning I tried to catch Beckett sucking his thumb, this is the best I could do! So sweet!Keep checking Beckett's album to the right for more pictures!

Other baby news: CONGRATULATIONS Mandy and Ed!!! Baby Edward John was born on March 21st, he's adorable!!!!!

Rothrock family welcomes Baby Beckett

Baby Beckett decided his time in the oven was over and arrived early. With Corey in San Francisco it was a tense race between Baby Beckett and Southwest Airlines and with an hour to spare, Corey made it in time to birth coach and help Thalia bring the little guy into our world.
The stats: Beckett Benson Rothrock. Born 6:39 p.m., Wt. 5 lbs 12 oz's Ht. 17.5 inches. Projected as a second rounder to the San Fran 49ers.

Don't have the camera cable or many of the other things that a planned arrival would have allowed (Thalia drove herself to the hospital!!!) but will have his unveiling ASAP. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes, we have been truly blessed.

Baby Shower!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! My friends and family both put together baby showers by mail. We combined them and had one fun day of opening gifts! We really appreciate the wonderful gifts but most of all appreciate all of the love and support from you all. Thanks! It would have only been better if everyone could have been together with us but that is just not possible! We hope to see you all after the baby arrives.

35 & 36 Weeks!

When I get lazy I have to combine weeks! We made it past week 35 and are at the 36 week mark! I had a doctors appointment yesterday and was excited to learn that our little boy is now 6 pounds! He still looks and sounds healthy! Our baby definitely is still a boy and we got a great shot to prove it! It was awesome to see another ultrasound (probably the last one.) I am 2 cm dilated and 60% thinned, which was a surprise to me. I didn't expect that. My doctor said she wouldn't be surprised if I went in to labor in the next three weeks! I also got to see what has been poking at my ribs for the last couple of weeks and as I suspected it's a foot.

I've got a question...does anyone have any bright/creative/awesome ideas of what to do with all of the ultrasound pictures that we collect along the way? Of course I could just put them in a photo album but I thought I'd see what you all have to say! Thanks!
