We had our first book club meeting last night (club name TBA)! We read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. It was a great meeting and we actually did discuss the book! Of course there were snacks and beverages but we had a great discussion as well. There are 12 of us in the group although only 7 were in attendance. We'll be rotating houses each month. I have been wanting to be in a book club for quite some time and am excited about it. As I post the books that we are reading, I'd love to hear if any of you have read them and what you think about them! Also if you have any suggestions for books to read, please pass them my way! I'd love your suggestions about ALL books. We are going to try to read memoirs/self help/thought provoking books in the book club, so I'd especially like to hear if you have any great suggestions in that category as I tend to read fiction books.Our next book is Why Men Don't Have a Clue and Women Need More Shoes by Barbara and Allen Pease.
