35 & 36 Weeks!

When I get lazy I have to combine weeks! We made it past week 35 and are at the 36 week mark! I had a doctors appointment yesterday and was excited to learn that our little boy is now 6 pounds! He still looks and sounds healthy! Our baby definitely is still a boy and we got a great shot to prove it! It was awesome to see another ultrasound (probably the last one.) I am 2 cm dilated and 60% thinned, which was a surprise to me. I didn't expect that. My doctor said she wouldn't be surprised if I went in to labor in the next three weeks! I also got to see what has been poking at my ribs for the last couple of weeks and as I suspected it's a foot.

I've got a question...does anyone have any bright/creative/awesome ideas of what to do with all of the ultrasound pictures that we collect along the way? Of course I could just put them in a photo album but I thought I'd see what you all have to say! Thanks!

Final Rendezvous and 34 Weeks

We are off to Chicago for a little fun with friends and to see James Blunt! I got the "OK" from my doctor to fly and weather permitting we'll be in Chicago this afternoon! I swear I am going to take some pictures...I keep saying that...

Those of you wondering about our last prenatal class, well it was much less amusing than the first session and I really don't have any funny stories to add this time! Hopefully next Monday!

We are at the 34 week mark and are getting more and more excited for the big day! I had a doctor's appointment this week and she said everything is looking great, even the "sugars". I can't believe there is a 5 lb. baby inside me (well I can, because he's very active and I can feel how big he is...it's just amazing.) We have an ultrasound scheduled for the 4th of March to see how Baby Rothrock is doing, what position he's in and how big he is. We're looking forward to seeing him one more time on the big screen. I hope to get some good shots and will post them.

Louisville Snow & Parent Prenatal Class

We don't get snow like this too often in Louisville, so last night after our first Parent Prenatal class we took advantage of it and had a little fun. Check out the album below.

Speaking of our "class" last night! WOW, it was interesting. I really hope we learn a thing or two and we did learn one thing last night (where to go when we get to the hospital) despite the ridiculous questions and comments made by some of the other participants. One guy actually asked the nurse "when will my wife get the good hormones?" Initially we all thought he meant when will his wife stop being moody, but NO, he went on to explain that he wanted to know when his wife will get horny? He was serious people! One other girl also shared that sometimes she puts lemon in her water to switch things around a bit so it doesn't get too boring drinking plain water all the time! I'm sorry but what a GENIUS thing to do. I could go on and on, but won't! I just hoped for a little more! We'll see, we've got three more classes to go.

Book Club

We had our first book club meeting last night (club name TBA)! We read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. It was a great meeting and we actually did discuss the book! Of course there were snacks and beverages but we had a great discussion as well. There are 12 of us in the group although only 7 were in attendance. We'll be rotating houses each month. I have been wanting to be in a book club for quite some time and am excited about it. As I post the books that we are reading, I'd love to hear if any of you have read them and what you think about them! Also if you have any suggestions for books to read, please pass them my way! I'd love your suggestions about ALL books. We are going to try to read memoirs/self help/thought provoking books in the book club, so I'd especially like to hear if you have any great suggestions in that category as I tend to read fiction books.

Our next book is Why Men Don't Have a Clue and Women Need More Shoes by Barbara and Allen Pease.

32,33...

I've been slacking! Sorry! I missed week 32 and am coming up on week 33 so I decided to combine the two and go from there. Everything is going great! I don't have any major complaints about the pregnancy, other than the fact that I am feeling huge, sleeping is pretty uncomfortable (when I am sleeping), I am swelling up on more regular occasions, heartburn is starting to settle in, my hands are numb and tingly every night and I am finding myself out of breath in ridiculous situations. Seriously though, I am as happy as can be and still enjoying every minute of this pregnancy! I still am amazed by all the movement inside me and love to feel the little jabs and rolling around! I'm constantly in awe!!! I can't believe there is a 4 pound baby inside me! WOW! The picture above is a shot of me at 32 weeks...taking a break from unpacking to go out to dinner. It's not the best shot as it seems to just show a big blob of black, but it's a shot!

We are still unpacking (don't worry we're not working too hard) and still have a ways to go as evidenced by the boxes in all of the pictures, but I thought I'd include a couple of pictures taken during the process (nursery, guest, master-respectively.) And a cute picture of Corey and Laila.

31 Weeks in Park City

We hit the 31 week mark in Park City, Utah! Baby Rothrock weighs over 3 pounds now and is still moving like crazy! Sleeping is getting pretty uncomfortable and I really seam to grunt a lot these days. It is really amazing what this belly does to you! Everything is still going well with my glucose testing, although it has been a little harder while on vacation. I'll still visit the doctor on a weekly basis but I'm not sure when I'll have another ultrasound.

We're staying at The Canyons Resort and Spa, where the boys are enjoying the ski in/out experience and the girls are enjoying the SPA experience! There has been SO MUCH SNOW, it snowed 16" in the last 24 hours and 62" in the last 5 days. It's amazing and so beautiful (probably because we don't live in it.) Mona and Korey joined us for the vacation and Mandy and Lew are on their way here now.

We got everything moved in to our new house and we are slowly but surely getting things unpacked. We were only in the house for a few days and I definitely feel that this vacation was NEEDED! Unpacking is exhausting!

Liston and Laila went to Treats Pet Resort again and we found out that they were going to be on Wave 3 News. I guess they were promoting the photography services they have at the "resort". We missed their t.v. debut but I'm sure they were stars!
